What are your turnaround times?

For 24-Hour Turnaround - Send in the audio file by 5PM EST and get the finished transcript by 5PM EST the following business day (or in compliance with your order request).


For Two-Business Day Turnaround - Send in the audio file by 5PM EST and get the finished transcript by 9AM EST two business days  after the request (or in compliance with your order request).


For Five-Business Day Turnaround - Send in the audio file by 5PM EST and get your finished transcript by 9AM EST on the fifth business day (or in compliance with your request). 

What are your rates?

We charge by the recorded hour of voice. E-mail us at windycitytranscription@yahoo.com for a price quote specific to your request.

Can you format transcripts to match my company style?

Yes, if the format is not too complex and the business is regular, we can format it to your requirements. Upon request, our team will be able to answer any formatting questions you might have. 

Can you add time codes to the transcript?

Yes, time codes can be added to transcripts for an additional charge. 

What kind of formats do you accept?

We accept MP3, M4A,WAV, WMA, MP4, MPEG-4, & DSS, DVD, Micro Cassette Tapes, Mini Cassette Tapes, Standard Cassette Tapes & VHS Tapes

In what formats are transcriptions delivered?

Completed transcripts are delivered in MS Word.

How are finished transcripts delivered?

The finished transcripts can be delivered in various ways; including email, via Google Drive, DropBox, OpenText or any other file sharing system you feel comfortable using.  If your team requires a specific form of delivery, please let us know!

How are errors and omissions handled?

In case of any errors or omissions we will correct it free of charge upon notification.

How do we start using your transcription services?

I lose a transcript you previously completed for me, can I get a copy?

For billing purposes we keep the files for 30 days. We will try to honor your request if received in this 

time frame.

What happens if the length of my audio file is longer than I thought?

Once the order is placed by the client, we verify the order details in regards to length of audio file, payment terms, etc.  In case of any difference or default, the client is contacted before the transcription process begins.

What is the guarantee of my transcript's confidentiality?

We have several safeguards to ensure confidentiality.  By using only encrypted e-mail and/or our  proprietary transcription platform, it is virtually impossible for files to be compromised.  We also ensure that the transcript created for you is solely for your purpose and not reused for any other purpose whatsoever.  For many academic institutional research studies, we send you the file and immediately delete the audio file and completed transcript per your request.  We understand the importance of confidentiality.
